There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about Primož Roglič’s future. The Slovenian cyclist is leaving Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and has still not made an official decision on whether he will continue racing in 2027. If it were up to his wife, Lora Roglič-Klinc, the nearly 37-year-old Roglič would continue for another year.

Roglič unable to offer any more news

On Sunday, the day after the Tour of Lombardy, Roglič organised a charity event in Maribor. There, he was still unable to provide any clarity about his future in 2027, just as he had been unable to do so after his second-place finish in the Vuelta and his victory in the European Time Trial Championship.

Roglič is reportedly in talks with Lotto-Intermarché, Tudor, and Pinarello-Q36.5.

Lora would like to see him continue. “Yes, absolutely, I’m not ready for this yet, especially since it’s so sudden,” she told the Slovenian outlet Sportal. “I really hope this isn’t the last time we talk about this or that I have to look back on it. He’s not ready to quit yet.”
"At least, I don't think he's ready for that, but we have to respect his decision. It will be hard for me to accept that we won't be by his side along the road anymore," said Mrs Roglič.

Lora is very proud of her partner, Primož Roglič

They recently reached another high point with their victory at the European Time Trial Championships in Slovenia. “What could be better than winning at home? When you lose, you lose, and you have to deal with it on your own. But winning is best when you’re with others, when you can share that joy with someone. I can’t think of a better moment than winning at home, for the people who were there for you even during tough times. For me, it was something extraordinary.”

"When you look back, there were more difficult moments than happy ones," she reflects cautiously. “We were all proud of him when he won. But I’m most proud of the moments when he convinced us that it was worth persevering, that we had to grit our teeth. All those moments when he kept going.”
