Arensman secured second place overall in the stage, making him the best-placed GC rider on the day. The Dutchman delivered a powerful performance, vaulting up to second in the overall standings. Ahead of him remain only Afonso Eulálio and Jonas Vingegaard, both of whom performed significantly worse than Arensman in the chrono.
Eulálio managed to hold onto the pink jersey, but he finished 3 minutes and 3 seconds slower than Arensman. His lead over Vingegaard has now been reduced to just 27 seconds, as the Dane suffered through a poor day. Vingegaard was 1 minute and 6 seconds slower than Arensman, missing the chance to claim the pink jersey.
