- Pog’s form makes yellow a lock, agreed. But Remco + Lipowitz for the podium is spicy. If Bora nails the TTT and Florian carries that Slovenia snap, they can nick 3rd. Also, Del Toro vs Piganzoli for white jersey? Could be a cracker.

- Great piece, but minor quibble: saying he was “main challenger” to Vingegaard in May feels a bit strong given Jonas had the upper hand from week one. Pellizzari’s surge on stage 7 was gutsy though. Loved the teamwork for Hindley’s podium—proper domestique shift from a future GC guy.

- Wait, why wouldn’t he ride the Vuelta if he says he wants top form by autumn? Isn’t the Vuelta also in late summer/early autumn, so wouldn’t that help prep for Worlds in Canada? Confused here.

- Smart call from Pellizzari. After that Giro virus and the hero pulls for Hindley, resetting for San Sebastián and Burgos makes total sense. His spring—Valencia/Tirreno podiums plus owning the Alps—shows the ceiling is still there.

- Rodriguez to sit out despite 8th at Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is wild. Marca says it’s due to the end-of-season transfer, but isn’t his contract through 2026? Confusing timeline here. Also, it’s XDS Astana now—what’s the actual Tour roster plan if Scaroni’s form is peaking?

- Grande artículo, pero me sorprende que no mencionen el encaje táctico: sin Landa, Quick-Step pierde un escalador de referencia para la tercera semana. Paret-Peintre puede pelear por una etapa, pero GC top-10 suena optimista.

- Wait, why would Astana bench Rodríguez if he’s been top-20 at the Tour and 2nd in Oman? Is that normal to leave someone out just because they’re transferring? Seems a bit harsh.

- Not sure I buy the “leadership for Paret-Peintre helps” angle. He looked better hunting stages with freedom; slapping a GC role on him could box him in. SQS aren’t exactly a mountain train team either—how’s he supposed to defend on a queen stage?

- Tough blow for Landa. After that Basque Country crash he never really got the engine humming—pulling out of Suisse said a lot. Shame, a 5th at the 2024 Tour showed he still had GC legs on the right course. Vuelta leadership makes sense if he can rebuild the base in July.

- Gutted about Martínez. He was flying at Paris–Nice and then crashes in a neutral zone? That’s ridiculous luck. Red Bull’s depth saves them, but losing Dani’s TT watts and climbing steadiness is a blow, no matter how you spin it.
