Demi Vollering follows Jakobsen, Terpstra and Ferrand-Prévot to Curaçao MTB race

On Thursday, it was confirmed that Demi Vollering will, as expected, lead the Dutch team at the World Cycling Championships in Canada. One day later, more good news involving the FDJ-SUEZ rider emerged from Curaçao: the Dutchwoman will compete in a mountain bike race on the Caribbean island in November.

Curacao Cycling Events announced that Vollering will travel to the island in November. “We have fantastic news: Demi Vollering, winner of the 2026 Tour de France and Giro d’Italia, is coming to Curaçao for the Kärcher Duo Xtreme. On November 15, Demi will be on the start line for this beautiful MTB race.”

Vollering will be following in the footsteps of several other professional riders. Dylan van Baarle and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot previously competed together, while Fabio Jakobsen and Niki Terpstra have also taken part. Most recently, the Van Dijke brothers enjoyed the event in Curaçao last year.

“We were welcomed in Curaçao by a really nice organisation and we went mountain biking,” Mick told us in January. “We mountain biked with the kids, checked out the trails — and with our background in mountain biking, that’s perfect. The family came too and it was just really fun.” His brother Tim won the 50-kilometre race last year alongside his girlfriend Hannah van Boven. It has not yet been announced who Vollering will team up with, although her partner Jan de Voogd would appear to be an obvious candidate.
