The merger between Intermarché-Wanty and Lotto seems imminent, but it also appears to be leading to a significant reorganization of the teams. This reorganization is forcing many riders to leave, including Hugo Page. Fortunately for him, the Frenchman has found a new team in Cofidis, and the French team has big plans for Page. “After four seasons with Intermarché-Wanty, Hugo Page is returning to a French team,” Cofidis announced in a
statement. The French team describes Page as “a talented and promising 24-year-old puncher and sprinter with great ambition.” “His goal? To rediscover the taste of victory as quickly as possible,” said Cofidis about the Frenchman, who signed a three-year contract.
In his four-year career at the highest level, Page has only tasted victory once so far. That was in August 2023, when the Frenchman won the fourth stage of the Tour du Limousin in his home country. In his four years with Intermarché-Wanty, he rode the Vuelta a España once and the Tour de France twice.
Page describes himself as a “sprinting puncher with a soft spot for the classics.” “My goal is to win again as soon as possible,” says the Frenchman, who says he knows Cofidis riders Alexis Renard and Bryan Coquard well. “I know integrating into the team will be easy,” Page concludes.
“I’m very happy to join Cofidis, a team with a long and rich history” said the 24-year-old rider from Chartres. “It feels great to come back to France it’s always more special to race in the jersey of a French team. I want to take on more responsibilities. My goal is to win again as soon as possible!”

"We will do everything possible to help him become the best French Classics rider"
A transfer to a new team often involves words of thanks to the old team. “I want to thank Intermarché-Wanty, who enabled me to take a step forward, particularly by supporting Biniam Girmay,” said the Frenchman about the team
that is about to merge with Lotto.
The Cofidis director played a major role in attracting Page. "I immediately had a good connection and a good feeling with Raphael. We are a really good fit and I am sure that my integration into the team will go smoothly,“ said the new signing. ”I’d like to welcome Hugo. He’s a solid rider, and I’m proud to have him in our team," said Jeune himself.
“He will bring all his race intelligence and expertise in Belgian classics and cobbled races. Having previously worked hard for his leaders, including Biniam Girmay, he has a lot to offer us. We will do everything possible to help him become the best French Classics rider,” he said optimistically. “Whether it’s the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, or Gent-Wevelgem, I’m sure we will experience great moments with Hugo!”
