Horrific accident with a loudspeaker costs the life of a 34-year-old Brazilian mountain biker

Terrible news from Brazil. The 34-year-old mountain biker Jaiane Oliveira has passed away during a race in Baianópolis after a tragic accident in the final stages of the competition. She fell during the race, and a loudspeaker then fell on her. She leaves behind a young set of twins.

Footage shows Oliveira being nudged by a competitor, causing her to crash into a trailer carrying a speaker. The speaker, nearly two meters tall, fell onto the rider. Bystanders quickly removed it from Oliveira and attempted to resuscitate her, but their efforts were in vain: she passed away shortly after in the hospital.

The race was organized by Dubai Bikers, who expressed their condolences on social media. "On behalf of the entire team, we mourn the loss of Jaiane. In this moment of pain and grief, we offer our deepest sympathies to her husband, children, and family." Oliveira's husband also participated in the race in Brazil.

According to Brazilian media, the organizers removed the speaker before the police could arrive, which has drawn criticism. There is also criticism directed at the woman who collided with Oliveira at full speed. She also fell but was able to finish the race.
