- Urska factor is real—mental boost clearly flipped a switch after StageLove seeing that human side. Vamos Pogi! Bravo, super fuerte!

- This piece overstates the “smiling” narrative. He literally says it’s his pain face. Why make it sound like he’s toying with everyone? Sensationalism much.

- Vingegaard “missing something” feels spot on. In 2022/23 he matched or even broke Pogi on the big climbs, but here he’s never quite there. Still, never count Jonas out on a third week mountain block.

- So is Isaac del Toro officially “shadow leader” now? I thought he was more of a protected rider. Bit confused why UAE would pace if he wasn’t having a good day—was that to force Visma to work?

- What a masterclass from Pogi again. Waiting on the Col du Haag, letting Decathlon and Visma burn matches, then boom with 2k to the top. Textbook. Also love the honesty about Stage 12—rare to hear “I felt like shit” in a presser.

I saw what Ten Dam saw, but no one is as fresh in the second week as they were in the first, especially this year, with temperatures hitting record highs. Twice during the past week, including today, Tadej held back at points that I had expected him to ignite. Yet, here he is, with an increased lead and no viable challenger on the immediate horizon.

- Proper show of team control. Pogi’s saying “not so certain” for Sunday feels like classic sandbagging, but fair enough—Solaison’s longer and steadier, not as punchy as Haag. If Del Toro rebounds, UAE could go 1-2 again. Vingegaard needs allies or a headwind miracle.

- Great write-up, but are we sure Decathlon did most of the pacing on the climb? Looked like UAE-XRG did the lion’s share until the last ramps, then Visma lit it. Slightly muddled there. Otherwise, solid context on the crowd—les fans étaient incroyable aujourd’hui!

- Is a30 gap basically impossible to close now? Does Jonas need a long-range attack on Plateau de Solaison, or wait for the TT? I’m still learning how much time you can take on one summit finish.

- That was vintage Pogacar on the Col du Haag. Sat on the train all day, then detonated the race with 2km to go. The way he measured the timing against the gradient change was class. Also, Del Toro hanging on for second even “not 100%” is scary for the rest.
