The Australian is returning to the US-based team
Aussie DS White returns to team, who dismissed him in 2010
White retired from pro racing in 2007, having spent his last season with Discovery Channel. The Australian began his managing career with EF Education, then called Team Slipstream-Chipotle.
He stayed on board for three seasons, by which time Garmin had taken over as title sponsor, but was dismissed in 2010, because of a breach of policy.
From 2012 until 2025, he was director at Jayco-AlUla, which he left abruptly for a short stint at Movistar.
He is now confirmed to be returning to the American team

The team announced the return on social media
"I've obviously spent a lot of time away, but it's a team that I've always kept very close to my heart. It's exciting to come back to a team that has so many talented young riders and a lot of ambition to develop this group over a long period of time."
Stage hunting is on the menu for the new Sports Director
The new DS said he is especially looking forward to building on the attacking ethos of the American team.

The team will look to continue their aggressive racing style
"I think the beauty of going for stages is that it's all or nothing. You're all in for the day, then you might have a day or two when you're not, and then you're all in again. Especially in a Grand Tour, I think that's a really exciting mindset and way to approach a race."
EF have had a lot of success in the past with proactive and agressive racing, and it seems the Australian is keen to build on the tradition at the team.
White is not the only change at EF Education
However White is not afraid of the gap that leaves in the ranks, saying that "nurturing those guys and getting the best out of them, both as individuals and as a group, is an exciting challenge for me."
He went on to add, "Working with riders who don't yet know where their ceiling is, and helping them discover what they're capable of, is something that gets me up in the morning."
