Pattinson got results as part of the Visma development team
The 21-year-old Brit continued to ride for the Visma | Lease a Bike development team in 2024 and 2025, where his achievements included third-place finishes in the Istrian Spring Trophy and Eschborn-Frankfurt in the U23 category.
He was unable to break into the Dutch team, but through the EF development team, he has now made it to the WorldTour.
"Of course I'm excited. This is a dream come true, and something I've wanted to do ever since I started my career in the U23 ranks," said Pattinson.
"I'm looking forward to joining EF Education-EasyPost next season. I've been following cycling since I was a kid, and it's really cool to be a professional cyclist and to be able to call myself one."

Pattinson got his first taste of a WorldTour team last year
"I had a good season and learned a lot from the experience. I raced a lot with the WorldTour team throughout the year, so I learned a lot from that and have matured," says the Brit.
"I’ve raced in a number of stage races this year with the WorldTour riders, so it was great to learn how to ride using a radio, or just to learn from what the more experienced riders told me. I felt like one of the older riders on the development team, so I tried to share my knowledge, whenever possible, with the younger riders coming up, especially when it came to reading the race."- Tomos Pattinson
"I really enjoyed my year with EF Education-Aevolo. Of course, we want to race well, but it was a relaxed environment and I felt at ease with all the riders and the staff. It was all new to me, but I felt like I quickly found my footing, and that made a big difference,” he continues.
"I aim to make progress overall and in as many areas as possible. I’m looking forward to taking the right steps in my development over the winter, and then getting started with the WorldTour team."

Langeveld had already had his eye on Pattinson before the Visma transfer
Sebastian Langeveld, head of scouting at EF, had been keeping an eye on Pattinson even before he signed with Visma.
“Tomos is a very interesting rider. We had our eye on him even when he was still a junior, but we didn’t have a development team back then. He signed with another team and stood out at every level, but from what I’ve seen and what I think, he’s a rider with tremendous talent.”- Simon Langeveld
Langeveld continued: "We got back in touch in 2025, and it was a very good conversation. This season, he’s come back from a minor injury, but when he’s in top form, he’s an incredibly valuable asset to the team. I think we can develop his skills even further in the coming years.”
