As the Giro d'Italia winds down the cycling transfer market cranks up. While most of the news has centered around managerial changes at Visma, Lidl-Trek and Netcompany INEOS, there are also plenty of riders on the move already. Not least, the news that Giro d'Italia runner up Felix Gall will move to Lidl-Trek.

Firstly, those management reshuffles. The big news of the week was Grischa Niermann — longtime Visma | Lease a Bike coach — jumping ship to join Lidl-Trek. The German team is undergoing a metamorphosis, with CEO Luca Guercilena stepping back after the Tour de France. Not to be outdone, Netcompany INEOS are also moving the chairs around, with CEO John Allert stepping down and Dave Brailsford taking complete control of the team going forward.
Below is a round up of the most recent rider transfer rumours and news.

Jai Hindley to Visma Lease-a-Bike?

Guido La Marca of TuttoBici reported at the Giro that Jai Hindley will join Visma | Lease a Bike for next year. From fighting to hold Vingegaard's wheel in 2026 to fighting to put Vingegaard in the best position in 2027, Hindley is out of contract with Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe.
Visma unexpectedly found itself without an experienced mountain lieutenant for Vingegaard after the shock retirement of Simon Yates at the start of the season. The Dutch outfit has reportedly identified the thirty-year-old Australian rider as the best replacement.

This rumour was also echoed by Lance Armstrong's former team manager Johan Bruyneel, speaking on The Move podcast. Bruyneel said " I don't know if he has signed already or not, but [he's] definitely in negotiations. Being a Grand Tour winner and having been third at the Giro, in this stage of his career, he's likely not going to stay at Red Bull and move to another team. Probably Visma | Lease a Bike. He's in a great situation to either negotiate or renegotiate. He can be the new Simon Yates for Visma."

Tudor Pro Cycling look to bolster sprint stable

Tudor Pro Cycling is also reportedly not sitting still. Earlier the rumor surfaced that Arnaud De Lie might be on his way to the Swiss team, but he might not be the only top sprinter making that move. According to L'Equipe, Kaden Groves is also said to be on his way to Fabian Cancellara's team.
De Lie's contract with Lotto-Intermarché is expiring and the Belgian is apparently courting a new employer who can meet his high salary requirement. His somewhat disappointing results this year, a trend that continues at the Tour of Wallonia, do not help in finding the right team.

Tudor currently have only Arvid de Kleijn and Luca Mozzato for the sprints. Moreover, Tudor would be the only interested team that would have the money to spare for De Lie. However, there does not seem to be a final agreement yet.

Uno-X Pro Mobility extend with Leknessund

Leknessund was rewarded by Uno-X for a strong Giro. The Norwegian was constantly on the attack and finished second three times in 2026. His outright attacking style also saw him finish fourth in the points classification. Add to that Leknessund's second place finish at the Ruta del Sol earlier this year.
The Norwegian climber and breakaway specialist has signed a contract through 2029. For Leknessund, the extension was not a difficult choice. 'Uno-X feels like home to me. I turned pro here and am very happy with the opportunities I get. I would rather not race for anyone than for this Danish-Norwegian project," he told the team's website.

Romain Grégoire extends contract through 2028

Romain Grégoire has been a regular face at springtime for a while now, and the Frenchman will remain so for some time. The puncher will stay in the blue and red of Groupama-FDJ United in the coming years, as he has extended his contract with the French team until 2028. In doing so, he has set one very clear goal.
After many years in the youth set up, Grégoire won a stage in the Tour of the Basque Country, his first WorldTour victory. Since then, the still only 23-year-old Frenchman has been considered a dangerous outsider when the course gets tricky. In 2025, Grégoire won the overall at the Tour of Britain ahead of Remco Evenepoel, and has scored some strong top 10sin the 2026 Spring Classics.
And it is precisely for this reason that Grégoire has now extended his contract through 2028. Indeed, in making the announcement, the French team did not waste many words: 'Only one goal for Romain: keep winning with the team'.

NSN rewards Belgian talent with 2-year contract

NSN also came out with transfer news on Monday. They have promoted 21-year-old Verbrugghe from the development team to the main squad for next year. The Belgian signed a 2-year contract after already impressing several times this year. The absolute highlight was in the Lotto Famenne Ardenne Classic, where he finished second on behalf of the development team ahead of men like Matteo Moschetti and Tibor del Grosso.
Verbrugghe is an intended classics leader for the future at NSN, says manager Kjell Carlström. 'Our focus will be to develop him into one of our leaders in the spring, but also his positioning in sprint stages is very good. That makes him enormously valuable for the sprint train. '
For Verbrugghe, son of former top time trialist Rik Verbrugghe, it is a dream come true. 'I can't believe it yet. I have been dreaming of this since I started cycling. I feel very much at home with the team. I love the spring classics, but I also want to focus on time trials and lead-outs. I can't wait to learn from my experienced teammates.'
