In an Instagram post by Djokovic, the tennis player is seen on a mountain bike. "Tadej Pogacar, I'm going to ride the Tour de France," he then 'breaks away'. Below the video, he very directly issues a challenge to the Tour winner. "Next stop: Tour de France. I'm coming for you, Tadej Pogacar," it reads.

The Slovenian couldn't resist taking up the gauntlet. In his story, he responded to Djokovic. "Me too," he replied to the tennis legend's 'Tour participation'. The latter then proposes a plan. "You come to the tennis court and return a serve. Then I'll try to follow you up a mountain for a hundred meters." Pogacar sees potential in it. "Deal," he confidently says. Who will win this challenge remains to be seen: both are certainly very enthusiastic.
