Demi Vollering has completed her first year with FDJ-SUEZ. It was an eventful year for the Dutch leader: she won pretty much everywhere, except for the all-important Tour de France Femmes and the World Championships. Nevertheless, Vollering looks back on the year with satisfaction, sharing her thoughts on Instagram. “Another one to never forget, a year that started like a fresh beginning,” she says of her first months at FDJ-SUEZ. “Everything felt new, yet so familiar. My goal at the start of the season? To be successful as a team, and I’m damn proud of how we did it. And of course, to win beautiful races”
In the end, she managed to win 11 times in 2025, starting very early in the year in Spain and Italy. “We kicked off the season by winning Valencia! Strade Bianche was our first big goal, and we got it, winning this race felt so special! And maybe this is directly my favorite moment of the season.” On the gravel sections, she was far too strong for Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx-Protime).
She also had a dry spring, including in the Ardennes classics. But in May, she won the Vuelta a España. "I’m the proudest of this fight, and how the girls stood behind me. Seeing me going through a difficult time, but always believing in me. We won Itzulia and Catalunya, with stage wins for Elise, Loes, and me!“

European Championships were "the cherry on the cake" for Vollering
Vollering suffered a major setback in the Tour de France, but she can now turn her loss to Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma | Lease a Bike) into something positive. “We raced a strong Tour and were rewarded with 2nd place in GC, the team classification, and the mountain jersey for Elise, and a lot of other podiums, which always makes me hungry for more.”
“
Winning the European Championships was, of course, the cherry on the cake of a beautiful season,” she concludes. “I’m so proud of every member of our team. I’ve seen everyone stepping up, including myself. We grew together as a close group, eager to become better versions of ourselves, and always putting the team first! Thank you so much for these beautiful memories, girls and staff! We’ll come back next year to fight even harder! I can’t wait!! 👊🏻❤️”
