The cyclocross season has already been underway for a while, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for Puck Pieterse. The Dutch rider from Fenix-Premier Tech has had a busy year competing in both mountain biking and road racing, so she still has time for other things in October. She’s currently in New York, but of course we’ll see her out on her bike there, too! Pieterse has not announced when she will start her 2026-7 cyclocross season
It is not yet known when Pieterse will make her
cyclocross debut, after wrapping up her road season as Demi Vollering’s
key support rider during the Netherlands’
successful European and World Road Cycling Championships. Last year, she kicked off the cyclocross season on December 12 in Namur.
Pieterse had already been a spectator at the cyclocross races in Woerden and Heerde last week, and she was even spotted on the course for a moment during the second race.
Pieterse cruises through Central Park in New York
The Dutch cyclist is now in New York, where she will be cycling in Central Park on Wednesday for
Zwift—which is also a sponsor of her team, Fenix-Premier Tech. The Big Apple is the latest world which Zwift users can explore.
An imagined New York of the future is the landscape riders, and runners, who use Zwift will experience, including robot-drawn carriages, and futuristic pathways around the park, and wider city.
Zwift announced an expansion pack of their available routes in the American city. The company, which uses gaming technology to create virtual exercise programmes called the update the
'biggest map expansion in five years'. Together with Eurosport commentator and pundit, and Sigma Sports cafe ride host Matt Stephens,
she’s already made
a fun promotional video in which we see Pieterse skidding around in Central Park.
