Tour of Switzerland wants to welcome Roglic for special milestone: "That would be amazing"

Primoz Roglic has barely had time to recover from his victory in the Giro d'Italia, and already there is speculation about his plans for the coming months. The Tour of Switzerland is also vying for his participation.

The Swiss tour is the only 'major' one-week stage race missing from Roglic's list of accomplishments. He has already won the Tours of Catalonia, Romandie, the Basque Country, and Tirreno-Adriatico, as well as Paris-Nice and the Critérium du Dauphiné. So far, no one has managed to win all seven of these races.

A Swiss media outlet (RSI) reported on Tuesday that Roglic is planning to participate in the Tour of Switzerland, and the organizers eagerly seized upon the news. "We'd love to see you come and battle for that one missing one-week stage race trophy."

The Tour of Switzerland will start on June 11 in Einsiedeln. Jumbo-Visma will in any case have Wout van Aert and Wilco Kelderman at the start of the race.

Roglic wants to spend time with family above all else

On Tuesday, Roglic was also asked if he would start in the Tour de France, but avoided answering the question. "No. Maybe. I don't know. That would be stage number 55. Who knows. I always say: you never know what happens in life, what challenges and opportunities you get. But I don't want to think about those kinds of questions right now. I want to go home now, let everything that has happened sink in. And spend time with my family," he clearly stated.
